Vice president visits flood hit Jaisalmer today
Jaisalmer, Sep 15 (UNI) Vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat today visited the flood hit Jaisalmer district and promised the people all possible help.
The Vice President is on a two-day visit to his home state beginning today. He was accompanied by Oppostion leader in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh, MPs Narayan Singh Maniklab, Manavendra Singh, MLAs Sangh Singh, Jalam Singh and other BJP leaders.
Mr Shekhawat drove straight to the flood hit areas after a formal reception at the airport. He was received by Rajasthan Health Minister Digamber Singh.
The Vice President had visited Ranadha, Moda, Kunda, Bhilom Ki dani, Jhale ki basti vilages and promised the people of all possible asistance to rebuild their houses and property damaged in the flood.
He will stay in Jaisalmer today and visit the another flood affected Barmer district tomorrow.
