TN remembers Anna

Chennai, Sep 15 (UNI) Glowing tributes were paid to the DMK Founder and Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai, fondly called as 'Anna,' on his 98th birth anniversary today.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi led the state in paying tribute to the Dravidian stalwart by garlanding his statue at Valluvar Kottam here.

State Finance Minister K Anbazhagan, Local Administration Minister M K Stalin and Union Minister T R Baalu were among those who paid their homage to 'Anna.' Senior AIADMK Leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition O Panneerselvam, Former Ministers D Jayakumar and Nainar Nagendran garlanded the statue of Annadurai at Anna Road on behalf of the AIADMK.

MDMK General Secretary Vaiko garlanded Anna's statue at the party headquarter here.

Dravidar Kazhagam President K Veeramani and leaders of various political parties also paid tributes to the DMK founder.
