Sun Technics enters Indian renewable energy market
Bangalore, Sep 15 (UNI) Sun Technics, one of the world's largest systems integrator for renewable energies, today formally announced its market entry into India.
The flagship company of the Conergy Group had invested over Rs 12 crore in its Indian subsidiary and had committed investments to the tune of Rs 25 crore, according to a company release here.
Sun Technics Founder and Chief Executive Officer Hans Martin Rueter said ''the recently proposed commitment of the Indian Government to generate ten per cent of electricity through renewable energy technologies by 2012 means that the Indian market for renewable energy is set to grow enormously.'' Announcing the global licensing deel with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) here, company Asia Pacific region Head Stefan Mueller said ''Sun Technics sees in India huge potential in the field of electricity generation by bio-energy. The cooperation in the field of biomass gasification technology between Sun Technics and the IISc is, of course, of strategic importance for us.'' UNI MSP GD TS1848
