SAIL bags MMMM award for technology

Kolkata, Sept 15 (UNI) Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) clinched the first prize in two categories of design and concept of technology in the Sixth International Expo and Conference on Metals, Metallurgy and Materials in New Delhi yesterday.

Informing this, SAIL sources here today said the award, presented by Union Minister of state for Commerce and Industry Jairam Ramesh, was given for innovatively showcasing steel products and the related technology invented by SAIL.

With this SAIL had achieved the distinction of winning the top award for the fifth consecutive time in the biennial event in which more than 175 compnaies from across the world took part this year, the sources added.
