Rabi (winter) oilseeds production estimated at 13 mln tonnes

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Oilseeds production during Rabi season (2005-06) is estimated at 13 million tonnes as compared to 15 million tonnes a year ago, according to the final official figures released by the agriculture ministry.

However, rice output in the Kharif season (summer) is expected to go up at 76 million tonnes from 74 million tonnes a year ago, Agriculture Secretary Radha Singh told reporters at the two-day meeting of Ministry officials.
