OBC, Corporation Bank and Indian Bank in alliance

New Delhi, Sep 15 (UNI) Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Corporation Bank and Indian Bank, today formed a strategic alliance seeking co-operation in the areas of venturing into capital markets, international projects, sharing IT resources and building e-payment system.

The areas of collaboration, decided in a meeting between CMDs of the three public sector banks also include share of treasury and training resources, Bancassurance, business syndications and sharing.

The three banks, which were in the recent race to acquire United Western Bank placed under moratorium, will also engage in common procurement of IT and other assets and similar mutually acceptable and beneficial areas.
