NCC cadets completes ocean sailing expedition successfully

Pondicherry, Sep 15(UNI) A batch of 40 NCC cadets today sucessfully completed their ocean sailing expedition from Pondicherry to Thopputhurai near Nagappatinam and returned.

Col K Durgaprasad, Group Commander, Pondicherry Headquarters received the team, which had covered 436 kilometers in 12 days. The teram had started in two-whaler boats here on September four.

The expedition was to impart training to the cadets in navigation, boat handling and sailing and also to inculcate team spirit and adventurism among the cadets, according to NCC officials here.
