Met dept forecasts heavy rains
Kolkata, Sep 14 (UNI) Kolkatans woke up to a very hot and sultry weather this morning but as the day progressed there were a few drizzles at several parts of the city.
The Met department said the Seasonal Monsoon Trough over the North Gangetic Bengal was rapidly moving southwards which would result in heavy rains in the next few days.
Under its influence several parts of the state would receive heavy to very heavy rains, Met officials added.
They have forecast a general cloudy sky with rain and thundershowers at isolated places.
The maximum temperature recorded today was 32 degree celsius and the minimum 27 degree celsius.
The maximum relative humidity was 94 per cent.
