Malegaon should get similar financial aid as Mumbai: Deve Gowda
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Sep 15 (UNI) Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda today demanded financial assitance to the blast victims of Malegaon in line with the Mumbai-Blast victims.
Talking to reporters during his brief interaction here this evening while leaving for Mumbai, after visiting Malegaon in neighbouring Nashik district, Mr Deve Gowda asked the government to offer similar kind of financial assistance to the blast victims of Malegaon, that nit had recently offered to the victims of Mumbai serial blasts.
The Janata Dal (S) leader who had visited the powerloom town of Malegaon today, has expressed displeasure over the medical facilities and civic amenities there and asked the government to ensure adequate medical facilities to the government hospital and improvement in civic amenities.
The former Prime Minister said that though, he wanted to visit the town immediately after the incident, he was asked to postpone his visit by the authorities, since they were engaged in the relief operation as well as maintaining law and order situation.
