K'taka Govt mulling to start Tata Science Centre like institute

Dharwad, Karnataka, Sep 15 (UNI) The Karnataka Government is considering a proposal to set up a science research centre on the lines of the Tata Science Centre in a 1,000-acre land, Science and Technology Minister Ramachandra Gowda said today.

Inaugurating the second Kannada science conference here, he called upon the universities to teach science in Kannada, besides publishing researches and thoughts in the local language. Science could be a success only if the varsities adopted this. Contributions from the Indian scientists were important for the development of science and technology, he stressed.
