JK HC asks BSNL to submit status of Master Plan
Srinagar, Sep 15: Jammu and Kashmir High Court (HC) has directed the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to submit the status of execution of the second phase of master plan prepared by the department.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice, Mr Justice Bashir Ahmad Khan and Mr Justice Bashmir Ahmad Kirmani in a case of Imtiyaz Ahmad Sofi Vs state and others directed that the BSNL authorities shall submit the status of execution of the second phase of the master plan prepared by them, indicating the nature of work and the time bound programme for its completion.
The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and other concerned functionaries has been directed to attend to the request of the BSNL authorities for allotment of site at Keller in South Kashmir and take a decision in this regard within two weeks from receipt of this order.
Giving regard to the complaint of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama that BSNL authorities were not coordinating with the district administration at the district level, the court directed the BSNL to make arrangements for ensuring coordination with the district administration.
The Maintenance and Rural Electrification Wing has been directed to ensure that electricity supply is made available to BSNL authorities for execution of works and no delay is caused on account of inaction on the part of this department.
