Hooda to market Haryana in Europe
Chandigarh, Sep 15 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda would visit several European countries from October 7 to 18 to market Haryana as a ''place of ultimate choice'' for multinational companies and investors in the sectors of industry and tourism.
Talking to reporters at Panchkula near here, Mr Hooda said foreign direct investment in the areas of industry and tourism would generate employment opportunities for the people in the state.
The Chief Minister earlier laid the foundation stone of 'Kisan Bhawan' to be constructed at a cost of over Rs 3.74 crore in Panchkula.
In reply to a question on the proposed Nano City to be developed by Mr Sabeer Bhatia, the creator of Hotmail, in the state, Mr Hooda said it would be as significant for the state and the country as the Silicon valley is for the U S.
This city would prove a milestone in the development of not only Haryana, but the entire country, he added.
