Hideout busted in Kashmir, arms recovered
Srinagar, Sep 15 (UNI) Troops busted yet another hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition in north Kashmir, a defence ministry spokesman said.
He said troops received a tip off that militants had dumped arms and ammunition in a hideout at Pattan in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.
Troops immediately launched a operation and after a long search busted a hideout near the bank of a river.
The arms and ammunition recovered included two AK rifles, four magazines, one carbine with a magzine, one air pistol, four grenades and one wireless set. However, no one was arrested.
About a dozen hideouts have been unearthed and war like stores were recovered in the Kashmir valley by the troops during the past one month.
