Heavy rain received at most places in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 15 (UNI) Rain or thunder showers occurred at most places in Kerala and at many places in Lakshadweep as the South West Monsoon continued to be active during the past few days.

Chief amount of rainfall in cms are Kannur and Thalassery four each, Mannarakkad and Varkala three each and Kozhikode, Chertahala, Alappuzha, Kozha, Kunnamkulam and Wadakkancherry two each, local Met office said today.

Gale will occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Isolated rain is likely to occur in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours, the weahter office warned.
