Heavy rain lashes Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 15 (UNI) Rain or thunder showers occurred at most places in Kerala and at many places in Lakshadweep as the South West Monsoon continued active during the past few days.

The Major amount of rainfall in recorded Kannur and Thalassery four CM each, Mannarakkad and Varkala three CM each and Kozhikode, Chertahala, Alappuzha, Kozha, Kunnamkulam and Wadakkancherry two each, local Met office said today.

Isolated rain is likely to occur in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours, the office added.
