Gang of robbers busted in Pune

Pune, Sep 15 (UNI) The city police today busted a gang of robbers wanted in various crimes including thefts, assault and robberies committed in Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Raigarh district and Pune between March-May this year.

Police Commissioner D N Jadhav told reporters that one Jalandar Singh, alias Ajit Singh Kalyani, a resident of Dombivili, was the mastermind. While he was on parole, he returned to committing crimes.

His whereabouts were revealed to police during interrogation of another gangster.

The gang, including nine others who are arrested, admitted to having committed crimes at different places.

The police recovered a four-wheeler, gold jewellery, mobiles thieves and other items worth Rs 16 lakh from them.
