Forest Dept's Elephant gives birth

Kohima, Sep 15 (UNI) Dalmini, an elephant belonging to the Nagaland Forest Department, delivered a healthy female calf at Rangapahar Wildlife Sanctuary, recently.

The calf born on September nine weighed about 30 kgs and both the mother and calf are healthy, forest officials said.

The Additional Principal Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden has christened the new born as 'Queen'.
