Five injured in grenade explosion, two hideouts busted
Jammu Sep 15 (UNI) At least five persons were injured in a grenade explosion at Tehsil Chowk Surankote in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir while from Poonch and Rajouri.
Official sources said that a grenade had exploded at Tehsil Chowk this afternoon injuring Alif Din, Mohammed Fazal, Ishlaq Hussain, Zia-ul-Haq and a minor girl, who were admitted to the district hospital at Poonch. Alif Din was brought to the government medical college here in a critical condition.
Sources said security forces busted a hideout in Mangrote-Suncham in Kalakote in Rajouri district, during a search operation and recovered 84 hand grenades, eight fuges, 20 UBGL grenades, 27 detonators, 12 telescopic sniffer lights, 60 sniffer rounds, 32 India explosives, power gell and other material.
They said security forces also succeeded in busting two hideouts in Loha Phar and Salian in Poonch District and recovered 31 electric detonators, four cortex wires, 100 pika ammunition, two AK magzines, one UBGL grenade, eight 60mm mortar bombs and 16 fuses, 27 detonators, one timer device and one anti-personal mine.
