Church appalled by fratricide
Kohima, Sep 15 (UNI) The Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) has expressed resentment over frequent outbreak of violence due to factional clashes in different parts of Nagaland.
The CBCC during its two-day executive meeting yesterday at CBCC Mission Centre in Phek district condemned the recent fratricide killings and appealed to all the 'national workers' (underground cadres) not to indulge in such criminal acts.
The CBCC also stated that such killings were not only against the law but also against Biblical principles.
It expressed concern over the prevailing tension and violence at Pfutsero town where armed groups moved freely. The organisation appealed to the state government and other concerned authorities to immediately intervene and instill a sense of security here.
