Chemplast slumps to 34 for 4
Hyderabad, Sep 15 (UNI) Hosts Hyderabad gained a 146 runs first innings lead over India Cements, while Mumbai reduced Chemplast to 34 for the loss of four wickets in the rain interrupted semifinals of the All India Moinuddowla Gold Cup cricket tournament here today.
Hyderabad, after bowling out India Cements for a paltry 116 runs in 40.2 overs, made 33 runs in their second innings in the eight overs possible before rain stopped play. Medium pacer Narendra Pal Singh claimed half the Cements side for 25 runs while another medium pacer Kaushik Reddy took three wickets giving away just 29 runs.
Barring Sree Kumar Nair (39 no off 64 balls, 4x4) others failed to resist local bowlers.
In another semifinal match, Mumbai made a sweet counter attack claiming four vital first innings wickets of Chemplast for just 34 runs.
Tomorrow is the last day. It is very difficult to complete four innings of these matches.
