BSE and Ernst
Mumbai, Sept 15 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) in association with Ernst &Young initiated a six part series on Mastering risk in an attempt to identify various types of risks that companies are exposed to, and also to understand the importance of risk mangement initiatives.
The six part series will span over four months and will focus on themes like, operationalising enterprise risk management, role of internal audit in corporate governance, Managing treasury risk and clause 49 and risk management -maximising benefits of compliance initiatives.
According to Mr Rajnikant Patel, Managing Director and CEO, BSE, ''The revised clause 49 has made it essential for the CEOs and CFOs to be aware of the various aspects related to corporate governance and risk management initiatives. Enterprise management requires managing and mitigating risk on an ongoing basis. This series on managing risk is a joint venture by BSE and E&Y to arm the CEOs and CFOs of various enterprises with the knowledge and the tools required for timely and fair evaluation of risk assessment and management enterprise.'' This series will be held at the Bombay Stock Exchange in the form of breakfast sessions every month from September '06 to January '07.
The series will end with a panel discussion on Companies on Risk- Benefits of Alignment. The theme for the inaugural event is investors on risk where Ernst and Young launched it Global institutional investor risk survey.
