BRUSSELS, Sep 15 (Reuters) A Belgian passenger train hit a stationary train close to the northwest city of Bruges today, slightly injuring several people, a railway official said.

Three people were taken to hospital but their injuries were not serious, a local fire official said, adding the crash took place around 12:10 p.m. (1540 IST).

''There are three passengers who are slightly injured but no serious injuries,'' he said, adding neither train was derailed.

The moving train was travelling at low speed, the railway official, from Belgian train company SNCB, said.
