All India Baba Farid Hockey Gold Cup from Sept 19

Faridkot, Sep 15 (UNI) The 15th All India Baba Farid Gold Cup hockey tournament will be played at Government Barjinderpal College hockey stadium from September 19 to 23 at Faridkot. As many as 13 hockey teams including defending champion Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will be participating in the tournament.

Deputy Commissioner Rakhi Gupta Bhandari will inaugurate the tournament with the opening match between Ropar Hawks and PSEB, Patiala.

Baba Farid Hockey Association vice president Parampal Singh and secretary Harjit Singh, the organiser of the tournament, said that participating teams include last year's winner CISF New Delhi, BSF Jalandhar, Corps of Signal Jalandhar, EME Jalandhar, Central Railways Bombay, Eastern Railways Kolkata, CRPF Delhi, PSEB Patiala, Sikh Regimental Centre Rajgarh, Ropar Hawks, Indian Air Force Chandigarh, Baba Farid Hockey Club Faridkot and Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala.
