23 robbers from TN arrested in Thrissur

Thrissur, Sep 15 (UNI) The Thrissur Town East Police today arrested 23 members of a robbers' gang, all hailing from Tiruchirapally in Tamil Nadu.

The arrested, belonging to the age group of ten to 62, hailed from Ramji Nagar in Tiruchirapally, police said.

One Sureshkumar (38) alias Delhi Raja is the leader of the gang.

The gang was operating in Thrissur and in Guruvayur.

One method used by it was to throw currency notes near a bank counter to divert the attention of the custmers and then snatch away money from them, police said.
