Jharkhand: Speaker reserves decision on 3 MLAs

Ranchi, Sept 14: In a major boost to the three legislators under defection notices, Jharkhand Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari today reserved his decision and gave them right to vote in the trial of strength for Chief Minister Arjun Munda to be taken up after some time in the House.

Addressing a press conferene at his office, just an hour before the crucial extended monsoon session, Mr Namdhari said he must not take a decision before going into more depth of the matter.

The Speaker said, ''Vivek (conscience) sbase bara hein'' (conscience is the biggest thing) and he could not decide as his conscience did not allow him to come to a conclusion so hurriedly."

He said the matter was of grave nature and more time was required study the matter.

The trio, Mr Anos Ekka, Mr Kamlesh Singh and Mr Stephen Marandi, were asked to explain why their membership should not be quasshed.
