AIR station attacked by Kannada activists
Bangalore, Sep 14 (UNI) Protesting against what they called imposition of Hindi language, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike Activists today attacked All India Radio station in the city and ransacked office equipment including a Computer.
Police said that about 25 activists barged into the station one by one and then raised a heckle protesting against the imposition of Hindi in FM Rainbow and Vividhbharati stations. Police arrested all the agitators and were remanded to judicial custody.
Incidentally, Hindi Week was being observed in the AIR station this week.
