Top seed Akash Wagh upset

Chennai, Sep 13 (UNI) Top seeded Akash Wagh was upset by his compatriot Fariz Mohammad 6-4, 6-0 in the boys singles under-18 pre-quarter finals of the wilson-TTT ITF Juniors tennis tournament here today.

Nothing went right for the top seed who committed far too many errors. The first set loss took the stuff out of him as Fariz reeled off the second set without conceding a game.

In the girls sixth seeded Nandita Krishnan was felled by wild card entrant Kyra Shroff 6-2, 6-3.
