NBA Game for professional league in India

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) The prospect of a professional basketball league in the country received a shot in the arm with NBA expressing its interest to jointly promote the game in the country.

According to a Basketball Federation of India (BFI) release here today, the long-term goal of a professional league may materialise soon with NBA showing interest and leading sports brand Nike also showing keenness to associate themselves to BFI.

''With these emerging trends, it is obvious that with the advent of international organisations and commercial companies will further boost the interest in the game,'' the release read.
