Monsoon vigorous over Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 13 (UNI) The South West Monsoon has been vigorous over Kerala with Quilandy recording 14 cm rainfall.
Rain or thunder showers occurred at most places in Lakshadweep, the local weather office said today.
Heavy rainfall reported in cm was Kannur 12, Vadagara and Thalassery 11 each, Kozhikode and Karippur airport nine each and Mannarakkad and Paravur eight each.
The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded was six cm each at Aluva, Kozha, Kunnamkulam and Manjeri.
It said rain with thundershowers would occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hrs.
