Judicial inquiry to protect Joseph: Hassan
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 13: The Kerala unit of Congress today alleged that the decision to hold a judicial inquiry into the alleged sexual misbehaviour of former PWD Minister P J Joseph was to protect him.
Talking to mediapersons here, KPCC spokesman M M Hassan said the move was only to shield the Minister.
As Inspector General B Sandhya had already probed into the allegation, the judicial inquiry was an insult to the complainant, he said.
As per the Supreme Court order, the complaint from the woman itself was sufficient to take action against Mr Joseph, he said.
Mr Joseph had resigned his post following the government's decision to conduct a judicial inquiry into the whole episode.
