Mumbai, Sep 13 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the state government to install within two weeks, the appropriate number of closed-circuit televisions and procure the required x-ray baggage scanners within its premises for tightening the security of the premises.

A division bench comprising Justices R M Lodha and S A Bobde today also directed the Registrar to take stock of the security measures implemented at the Nagpur, Goa and Aurangabad High Courts and submit his report within two weeks.

The court has asked petitioner Gurucharan Singh, President of Security Guards Association, to join the Bombay Bar Council and the Advocates Association of Western India and file an affidavit submitting the additional security measures like gate-passes for entry in the court.

The court was hearing a public interest litigation filed after the serial bomb blasts seeking higher security measures as any one could walk in and out of the court without any check of what was being carried into the premises.
