Close circuit cameras at bus stands in NCR
Chandigarh, Sep 13 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to set up close circuit cameras at all bus stands of the districts falling in the National Capital Region for close monitoring and strict vigil on anti-social elements.
Chief Secretary Prem Prashat disclosed this while replying to a question here today.
Mr Prashat said the state government had demanded a sum of Rs 170 crore from the Centre to raise the policing level in the National Capital Region districts of the state on a par with Delhi. The equipments would be purchased by the Police Department to counter the terrorist activities with more efficiency, he added.
He said Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had also urged Home Minister Shivraj Patil to issue work permit to Bangladeshis living in Faridabad and other districts of the State. Mr Patil had assured to examine the proposal.
He said big units were being set up by the Suzuki and Nissan jointly for making 12 lakh cars in the state annually. Out of these, seven lakh would be exported to the European countries while five lakh would be consumed in the country.
