500 TDP activists held

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 13 (UNI) More than 500 Telugu Desam Party (TDP) activists led by its Parliamentary Party Leader Yerra Naidu today staged a dharna before the local Transco office demanding nine hours of continuous power supply to agriculture.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders alleged the Congress Government failed on all fronts as it concentrated only on irrigation by allocating more funds to the sector.

In contrast, during its regime, the TDP supplied uninterrupted power to farmers even during the drought.
