UP BJP to finalise its poll campaign strategy next week

Lucknow, Sep 12 (UNI) Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), will hold a day- long state executive meeting on September 15 to decide on the campaign strategy in view of the assembly polls next year The party is planning big rallies at different places of the state later this month, which would be addressed by party leaders' comprising Lal Krishna Advani, party's National President RajNath Singh, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders.

A final touch to this programme would be given during a day-long state executive meeting on September 15 followed by three-day meeting of senior party leaders, which would also be attended by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, UP in charge Kalyan Singh and state party chief Keshari Nath Tripathi.

Mr Kalyan Singh, already projected by the party as the Chief Ministerial candidate, is likley to visit Ayodhya on September 26 to have blessings of Ram 'Lalla' before formally launching the election campaign. He had announced to launch his party's state assembly campaign from Ayodhya.

The place and date for the rallies, slated to start from second week of October, would be finalised during the meetings of senior party leaders, a party spokesman told UNI here.

He added the issues concerning UP, which were raised during the BJP's National Executive meeting in Dehradun would be discussed in the state executive meeting.
