Sun Micro in Textile City
Coimbatore, Sep 12 (UNI) Sun Microsystems India today expanded its operations to this textile city even as it is geared to implement its next phase of its market growth and expansion plans in its quest to achieve pan-India presence.
Speaking to newsmen here, Sun Microsystems Director-Partner Sales Sudhir Nayar said the company was looking at a large customer base in regions apart from Tier I and Tier II cities who were showing large apetite for technology infrastructure to run their business successfully.
The company will agressively expand into Tier III cities and towns over the next one year and Coimbatore figured at the top of the list due to presence of a large number of business units in and around the region making it an attractive market for IT infrastructure consumption.
The expansion is part of Sun Microsystems strategy to expand presence in close proximity with the customers in these regions and help them benefit from its superior products and solutions.
Sun had solid value proposition to offer to its customers in the SME space with superior products and effective distribution system, he claimed.
