Dehradun, Sep 12 (UNI) The Samajwadi Party today criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party for not taking up the issue of unemployment in the state in its recently concluded three- Day National Executive Meeting held here.

'' BJP National Executive Meeting maintained silence on the burning issues of unemployment in Uttaranchal,'' SP National General Secretary Vinod Barthwal told reporters here. He asserted that the BJP, being the main opposition party in the state, should press the Congress Government to look into the solution of this grim problem.

''Instead Samajwadi Party demands that State Government constitute Bhumi Sena and provide employment to the youths by involving them in land reforms,'' he said.

Not divulging the exact date, Mr Barthwal said SP Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav would visit Uttaranchal to review the situation here in view of forthcoming Assembly Election.
