SMC brings out CD to explain post-flood operations

Surat, Sep 12 (UNI) Surat Municipal Corporation today came out with a 35-minute CD to explain and show its various operations in the city after the devastating floods.

Hirnesh Bhavsar, Chief Public Relations Officer of SMC, who compiled the CD, told UNI that it contained images of the flood, the damgaes caused by it, statistics of water release, losses, rescue operations done by SMC, district administration and the state government.

The CD, titled ''Surat: Flood, devastation and restoration'' tells how the city came back to its normal spirit within one month.

The CD ends with an optimistic note through a song written by Aman Lebadiya and composed by Dr Mukul Choksi, a practising psychiatrist in the city.
