Rail track on Pathankot-Jogindernagar line damaged in HP

Dharamshala, Sep 12 (UNI) The Railway authorities today started transshipment of passengers on the Pathankot-Jogindernagar railway line following the sinking of the railway track between Koparlad and Jawalmukhi Railway Station, official sources today said.

The rail traffic on track, which was earlier blocked due to landslides, was stopped following the sinking of the track due to rains in the district in the last few days.

The sources said the railway traffic between the two railway station remained disrupted for the last three days, adding efforts were on to restore traffic in the next three days.

The passengers coming from Jogindernagar, Baijnath and Palampur towns get down at Koparlad Railway Station and then proceed to Jawalamukhi Road Railway Station by road to board another train from the Jawalamukhi Road Railway Station, the sources said.
