Mumbai-Pune NH 4 to be operational from tomorrow: Deshmukh
Mumbai, Sept 12 (UNI) Maharastra Public Works Department (PWD) minister Anil Deshmukh today said that the Mumbai-Pune NH-4, which has been upgraded from two lane to four lane will be operational from tomorrow.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Deshmukh said that Mhaiskar Infrastructure was given this project on a built-operate-transfer basis in 2004, for a period of 15 years, and that now the 117 km long road has been strengthened and converted into a four lane.
He said a toll tax will be charged for vehicles depending on the distance that they want to travel on this route and added that the toll will be reviewed every three years.
From tomorrow, cars will be charged Rs 65 and trucks Rs 229 as toll, for the complete Mumbai-Pune distance, he added.
