Mukherjee meets Koirala

Kathmandu, Sep 12 (UNI) Indian ambassador to Nepal, Shiv Shanker Mukherjee, today met Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at his official residence at Baluwatar and discussed the current political situation in the Himalayan Kingdom.

Prime Minister Koirala briefed Mr Mukherjee on the ongoing peace process, interim constitution, latest political developments, the unification process of the Nepali Congress and interim government during the one and half hour long talks, a senior Nepali Congress leader said.

Mr Mukherjee expressed India's commitment to help Nepal in economic development and strengthen democracy, he said.
