Merchant waylaid, robbed at gun point

Godhra, Sep 12 (UNI) A grains merchant was robbed of Rs 40,000 in cash by four motorcycle-borne miscreants at Gondali village, about 70 kms from here, today.

Police said the four, astride two motorcycles, waylaid the merchant, Yunedbhai Nomanbhai Vora, on the highway and robbed him at gun point. The merchant was also riding a motorcycle.

The robbers fled after divesting the merchant of his cash but Vora managed to note down the registration number of one of the vehicles used by the miscreants and has informed the police about the same.

The four robbers are yet to be traced, police said.
