K'taka Govt to help develop DRBR Trust into tourism centre
Dharwad, Karnataka, Sep 12 (UNI) Karnataka Tourism Minister Sriramulu today assured that the Government would extend all help to develop D R Bendre Raashtreeya Trust into a tourism centre by November next.
Talking to newspersons after visiting the Trust, formed after renowned poet and litterateur Da Ra Bendre, here, he said the Trust's proposal to form an authority was under the Government's consideration. A special officer would be appointed soon to prepare the approximate estimates for setting up an Authority.
Mr Sriramulu said steps would be taken to improve the Sadhankere area, where Dr Bendre lived, by maintaining its original identity.
Boating and other entertainment facilities would also be provided.
He said the Government proposed to run 'Palace on Wheels' train service in the State on the lines of Rajasthan.
