Intelligence officer sent to jail

Patna, Sep 12 (UNI) A Special vigilance court here today remanded two persons, including an Assistant Intelligence Officer Ashok Kumar Kashyap to judicial custody in a bribery case till Septemer 25 next.

During the day, the accused and his accomplice were produced by the officials of the state Vigilance Investigation Bueau before Special Vigilance Judge Ramniwas Prasad.

According to the charges, the accused were arrested by the vigilance sleuths yesterday while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a customer of Bihar State Electricity Board.

The accused was an emplooyee of the electricity board here.
