Haryana govt to launch Cyber Treasury system
Chandigarh, Sep 12 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to launch a Cyber Treasury System in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI) for the convenience of the traders to have online access to deposit their taxes.
Under this system they can deposit their tax as sitting in their offices or from cyber cafes without standing in long queues outside government offices, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda revealed this while presiding over a review meeting of the Department of Information and Technology here today.
He said the government would launch this trader friendly system in collaboration with the SBI. Under the system the traders can also deposit their taxes in any branch of SBI through credit card, debit card and cash.
Mr Hooda said this system would not only make it easier for the traders in depositing their taxes but would also enable them to have online information of the Finance, Excise and Taxation departments and also of all state government treasuries. This system would also facilitate the State government in getting the latest information on the tax deposited by the traders and also in expeditious transfer of funds received from assesses to the government account, he added.
