Government facing financial constraints: Byaling
Itanagar, Sept 12 (UNI): Arunachal Pradesh Minister for Rural Works Department(RWD) Tanga Byaling said that the state government is facing financial constraints to release various grants-in-aid for rural development programmes.
After attending a review meeting of the DRDAs (district rural development agencies) here on Sunday, the minister, however, encouraged the DRDA projects directors to yield benefit of the orientation, according to official sources.
Stating that parking of fund of centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) in the State Cooperative Apex Bank has created a lot of problem in implementation and submission of utilisation certificates.
Mr Byaling appealed to the authorities of the state-owned financial institution to release 50 percent of funds parked in the bank initially to the DRDAs for implementation of rural development programmes, sources added.
