Girl drowns in flood waters

Beed, Maharashtra, Sep 12 (UNI) A 15-year-old girl was swept away in flood waters at Khopati village in Shirur taluka of this district today.

The girl, Gitanjali Bhima Garge, was swept away in the flood waters of the Shindfala river as heavy rains lashed the district today.

Shirur tehsildar A B Ugalmugle said the body of the girl was retirved from the banks of the river in the evening.
