General Motors embarks on new internet marketing strategy
New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Auto major General Motors India has embarked on a new internet marketing strategy, thereby becoming the first company to market its products through a click and play video ad.
''To cater to the growing community of netizens, GM has initiated a step forward in internet marketing among automakers in India,'' GM India Marketing Director Anisha Motwani said today.
Besides the recent launch of the Chevrolet SRV, GM is running a video ad on popular websites, including moneycontrol.com, agencyfaqs.com and mouthshut.com.
To enhance the customer experience, GM India is expanding its dealership network this year from the present 85 sales points to 110 sales points.
In addition, two new parts distribution centres have been set up this year in Maharashtra and Delhi to supplement the two original centres in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu, ensuring the ready availability of parts.
GM India is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors Corporation. Besides the Chevrolet Tavera and Chevrolet Optra, GM India manufactures the Chevrolet Aveo at its facility in Halol, Gujarat.
