Fake breast cancer specialist arrested

Mangalore, Sep 12 (UNI) The Barke police in the city have arrested a quack, who was cheating gullible public by posing as breast cancer specialist.

Police said today that the quack was trapped last evening by the police, who telephoned him to test a breast cancer patient near Basent complex.

The arrested had cheated people in Shirva, Shankarapura (in Udupi Taluk), NMPT and Besant college by collecting Rs 25 each for conducting 'free breast cancer check-up' on students. He had also collected donations from the public for his charitable trust. The police have seized letter heads, seals of the fake trust and pamphlets on breast cancer.

Though the quack had escaped arrest last week, his lady assistant was nabbed by the police then, police added.
