Deepak Patel appointed COO of MphasiS

Bangalore, Sep 12: MphasiS, a leading IT services and BPO solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Mr Deepak Patel as its Chief Operating Officer.

In a release here, Mphasis CEO Jerry Rao said Mr Patel brought with him valuable experience across diverse positions and would play a key role in leading MphasiS, post the recent merger of EDS India and MphasiS.

Mr Patel had played a key role in the merger process and would be instrumental in ensuring that the combined operations of both entities, along with close to 15,000 professionals, realise their full potential that would in turn lead to an upward growth trajectory for the organisation, he added.

Prior to his current role, Mr Patel was Vice-President, Best ShoreSM Strategic Investments and Business Development at EDS. He was also Principal/Senior Manager, SAP Practice at Price Waterhouse, LLP.

MphasiS BFL Limited, a leading applications and BPO services company based in Bangalore, currently had about 12,000 employees, including 11,000 in India. It served clients in multiple industries, including financial services, transportation, technology and healthcare, and was particularly strong in the retail banking sector, serving the world's top five banks.
