Cotton price falls further on poor spinners' demand
Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) Cotton prices fell further on poor spinners' demand, traders at the East India Cotton Exchange today said.
Cotton varieties like Karnataka Jaydhar declined by Rs 300 per candy while V-797, LRA, H-4, MCU-5 and Bunny eased by Rs 200 each per candy together with Punjab J-34, Y-1, NHH-44, Shankar-6-A grade Brahma and 26-MM fell by Rs 100 each per candy on improved offers by stockists.
Following were the spot new cotton rates per candy in Rupees: Bengal Desi: Rs 14,800, Gujarat Wagad: Unq, V-797: Rs 13,800, Karnataka Jayadhar: Rs 15,500, Punjab J-34: Rs 17,000, Y-1: Rs 16,100, NHH-44: Rs 16,400, LRA: Rs 17,300, H-4: Rs 18,000, S-6-A grade: Rs 19,500, MCU-5: Rs 21,200, DCH-32: Rs 38,500, Bunny: Rs 20,000, Brahma: Rs 19,200 and 26-MM: Rs 17,500.
